Emma Brown is a portrait
and landscape photographer, living and working in London. Through her work,
she documents people, and the relationship that they have with their environment.
Emma's
portraiture seeks to capture the connection she has with her subject,
and to convey to the viewer what fascinates her about them. She is interested
in finding people's true identity, even if it only comes out at night!
In
her location work she likes to explore the gap left when humans have deserted
their habitat. By marginalising people, or by leaving them out of her
compositions altogether, she aims to document this 'human echo'.
Emma
shoots both digitally and on film. She is currently working on commissions
and personal projects.
